George Mac Regatta

The George Mac Regatta is an honoured event at Royal Brighton Yacht Club, originally founded to honour the late George “Nugget” McCallum. This year’s multi-class regatta will be a fantastic tribute to its namesake, and an exciting weekend for all competitors and spectators. One of the highlights of the regatta is the awarding of the perpetual George McCallum Cup. The Cup has a high pedigree of winners, including former Olympians and State Title holders. This year’s event will be of a formidable standard, a thrilling opportunity to witness our next generation of sailors vie to have their name engraved into RBYC’s history.

Not all the fun is to be had on the water, as RBYC extends its hospitality to all competitors, family and friends on the Saturday night. A fantastic social night is planned for all sailors and spectators to mingle over a casual dinner in RBYC’s grounds. Sunday afternoon is sure to be equally social, as sailors of all ages gather for the awarding of prizes in all divisions, in addition to the highly coveted perpetual cup.
