I have been chairing the Master Plan working group for the last year – here is an update on progress.
Renowned architect Peter Maddison is an RBYC member and has joined the working group and is a significant help.
We organised a well-attended member workshop on 14th May with a wide representation from Club members – we have used this input to develop a Request for Tender from architects.
Simultaneously we have been requesting “seed funding” donations from members and sponsors to help launch this critical next phase. These early contributions will enable us to create a compelling vision and supporting materials that can attract larger donations, sponsorships and grant funding in the future. So far we have collected around $50k – and we are targeting around $100k to fund this next development stage.
The Master Plan working group is highly committed to keeping members informed and there will be an information evening later in the year.
All donations to the RBYC Development Fund via the Australian Sports Foundation are tax deductible and will be held in a separate account dedicated solely to the Master Plan project. If you would like to help shape the future of RBYC, we encourage you to consider making a contribution of your choosing. The process is outlined in the link to our website.
Thank you to those members who have already contributed to this important initiative.
