SheSails International Conference was streamed live at RBYC Monday 19/10/26 in the member’s bar.
21 women attended the streaming of the live conference which had 345 registrants. Presenters included Jo Aleh, gold and silver medallist and AC75 crew, Belinda Stowell, Olympic gold medallist and international coach, Great Carroll, featured sailor in the new “Shape of Wind” file, Julie Hornsby, first woman Commodore of Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club and Australian Sailing’s 2025 Volunteer of the year amongst others.
Women then had a brief information session about how to get involved at RBYC and an opportunity to directly network with each other. 3 Sailors were connected to boat owners/skippers, people who wanted to know about on land volunteering and joining sub-committees were identified, introductory information was provided and others will be followed up by email over the next week. People were keen to plan a future networking event for women.
