Friday Nights Club Nights – GC Member Steve Reynolds
Friday nights at the Royal Brighton Yacht Club have quietly become the highlight of the week. What began as an effort to bring members together has blossomed into a lively, warm tradition — our members’ bar is now regularly full, buzzing with conversation, laughter and the easy camaraderie that makes our club special.
A big part of the revival is our unique west-facing balcony: the best one on the Bay with those unforgettable sunsets. As the sky melts into gold and rose, members gather with a drink in hand, sharing stories and making new friends while the view provides the perfect backdrop.
Adding to the atmosphere, AFL footy is now shown on the big screen in the bar — a favourite draw for supporters and neutrals alike. Whether cheering a spectacular mark, swapping match predictions, or enjoying the game with friends, the combination of live sport, great company and stunning sunsets has made Friday nights something not to miss.
Thank you to everyone who’s come along, brought guests and helped create this warm, lively tradition. If you haven’t yet experienced a Friday at the Club, come for the sunset and the footy, stay for the conversation — we’d love to see you.
