After the deluge comes terrific racing

The seven RBYC 2.4s who made the long trip to Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club would have been very pleased with how it went. Congratulations to all of you! Those who arrived early experienced a deluge of rain, which gave way to calm conditions on the first day, but with all eight races successfully conducted by the end of the weekend.

There were 23 entrants and the regatta was won by Peter Russell from YMCA Canberra Sailing Club, with RBYC boats close on his tail. There were several RBYC podium finishers in individual races.

RBYC overall Results were;

2nd – Digger (Neil Patterson)

3rd – Joey (John Collingwood)

7th – Australia II.IV (Peter Coleman)

8th – Sea Wolf (Malcolm Ware)

11th – Vim (Glenn Ferguson)

12th – Emilou (Ray Smith)
