Celebrating Oscar Piastri’s Journey
Last Friday, our members bar buzzed with excitement as we hosted local Brighton mum, Nicole Piastri for an intimate interview about her son, Oscar, who has recently made his mark in Formula 1. With a packed house, Nicole shared heartfelt stories of Oscar’s journey from karting to the F1 circuit, captivating everyone present.
The evening was made even more special by an auction of a miniature replica of Oscar’s helmet donated by Nicole, which fetched an impressive amount, with all proceeds benefiting My Room, the charity Oscar supports as its Australian ambassador.

Thanks to the Social sub-committee and a huge shoutout to the Social sub-committee and to RBYC staff, who worked tirelessly under pressure to manage the bar queues for hours. Their dedication ensured a memorable experience for all. Nights like these remind us of the incredible talent in our community and the importance of coming together for a good cause.
