Cerberus Race 2024

The traditional end of summer racing, the Cerberus Trophy, was held on Saturday in magnificent conditions. 14 boats took to the water in a 5-10 knt SW a perfectly flat sea and full sun which made it a beautiful day to be on the water.

The trophy is awarded for the Performance Handicap winner JAMHU, who pipped last year’s winner Playing Around 3 by just one second. Pictured are JAMHU’s owner Paul Jackson with one of the crew Toby Palfrey. Third place went to Etchellente.

Back ashore Race Office Rod McKenna and his race management team got the annual hardstand BBQ going to celebrate the end of yet another great season of sailing at RBYC.

Although the summer is over there is still plenty of sailing to come both Wednesday and Saturdays as well as a monthly Sunday OTB racing. Keep an eye on the newsletter each week as well as the calendar.

Happy Sailing
