Weather Situation

A high pressure system centred to the southwest of Victoria will pass across Bass Strait tonight, reaching the Tasman Sea early on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a cold front and associated trough will move into the Bight on Wednesday and are expected to cross Bass Strait during Thursday. On Friday a high over the Bight will extend a ridge towards northern Victoria.

Southwest to southerly below 10 knots increasing to around 15 knots in the afternoon. Winds tending south to southeasterly at 10 to 15 knots in the evening.

Variable about 10 knots becoming northeasterly 15 to 20 knots in the late afternoon before increasing to 20 to 25 knots during the late evening.
