For those who wish to get together for a social dinner in September, we will be booking a long table in the Club’s downstairs restaurant on Friday Sept 19th for a casual dinner following the 7pm draw in the Members’ Bar.

Guest Speaker Dinners will resume in October (Friday the 17th), when we will have the pleasure of hearing from Lou and Marni Irving on their Cruising in Tasmania on Cavarlo. In November we will be holding the ever-popular annual Progressive Dinner (Nov 21st) and in December, on Saturday the 13th, our annual Christmas Hardstand Party.

In the past week, the Sail 2 Indonesia rally fleet, including “Aquacadabra”, has reached Labuan Bajo on the island of Flores, Indonesia. Labuan Bajo, opposite Komodo Island, is where “Aquacadabra’s” is swapping out crew, with Tony Garvey and Dave Stripp heading home after many months, and Brenton and Robina Smith joining Rob Hurrell on the boat. At the time of writing, “Aquacadabra” had left Labuan Bajo and was heading SW along the coast of Flores towards the Komodo National Park.
