Call for Boats to Host – Progressive Dinner

The 2024 annual Progressive Dinner will be held onFriday the 18th October. However, the organisers could still use with a few more host boats, so if you are able and willing to host a main course or dessert on your boat, and have not yet contacted Jo Walker ( email [email protected],  ph 0448 710 854 ), please do so, as it would be most appreciated (and our thanks to all those who have already volunteered).

ALL WELCOME, be you a boat owner or non-boat owner, a racer, cruiser, aquatic or social member. This is always an excellent evening to get to know other club members, as the dinners are in small groups that change between the main course boat and the dessert boat. Please let Jo Walker ( [email protected] ph 0448 710 854 ), or reception (ph 9592 3092 or email:  [email protected] ) know if you would like to come along. Cost is $25 per guest, payable in cash on the night.

Gather in the members bar around 6:30 for pre-dinner drinks. After the 7:00pm draw, we will then proceed down the pier to the marina for:

  • Main Course on you first allocated boat, followed by,
  • Dessert and Coffee/Tea on your second allocated boat, finishing with,
  • Port and Chocolates on one or more of the larger boats.

Looking further ahead, in November, Wayne and Allison Sollars have kindly agreed to tell us about their 10-year odyssey sailing Blue Heeler, their Hallberg-Rassy 39, around the world. (Friday November 15th)

To close the year out, we will be holding the annual Hardstand Christmas Party on Saturday 7th December.

In January, we will have our annual Birthday Cruise to Royals on Sunday the 19th, assuming that date is acceptable to RYCV (to be confirmed)

And looking further ahead, the 2025 Bass Strait Cruise in Company is set down for Saturday 22nd Feb to Monday 10th March 2025. An information evening will be held at the Club on Friday 6th December.
