Over the 2nd/3rd March weekend, Royal Brighton Yacht Club hosted the RS Aero Victorian State Championships. Over the two days, the club ran a fantastic series, fitting in 6 races over two days. Most races were sailed in over 15 knots, testing the endurance & fitness of the RS Aero fleet. To offer some variety the club ran Windward/Leeward courses Day 1 & Triangle-Windward/Leeward returns on the penultimate day. The fleet loved sailing in the big waves & big winds!
The RS Aero 6 fleet was the largest, followed by the RS Aero 7, with one RS Aero 9 sailor.
Congratulations to Glenn Collings on winning the RS Aero 7 division & Rhett Gowans for taking out the RS Aero 6 class.
The RS Aero Association would like to thank Royal Brighton Yacht Club, Colin, Paul & Rod for running such a streamlined & professional regatta. Thanks to all the competitors for racing over the weekend. Kind Regards,
Rhett Gowans
