This coming Friday, March 20th, we are delighted to have Hugh Pilsworth as our March Guest Speaker. Hugh, who an SYC member and past commodore of QCYC, will present on a 2-year global circumnavigation in his Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49, BlueFlyer. Hugh will detail why he undertook this trip, and how he organised it (e.g., crewing, port visit arrangements, etc). Additionally, he will cover the boat and various modifications made to a production vessel to prepare for the voyage, along with what worked and what didn’t. Hugh wrote a book on the voyage and will have copies available to buy for those who are interested.
As usual, after gathering in the Members Bar for the weekly announcements and members’ draw at 7:00pm, please join us in the Bayview Room for the dinner and talk
