Report from GC Member Mark Woodland
The weather is looking great for this Saturday’s passage race to Geelong for the Festival of Sails Regatta over the Australia Day Weekend. Royal Brighton Yacht Club is being represented by 14 boats across several divisions (see complete list in club newsletter). Good luck to them all and we hope they have a successful and enjoyable weekend.
Last Friday night’s draw was well attended, with the members’ bar full and buzzing. We are very fortunate to have Nick Johnstone Real Estate as one of our club sponsors. Jonty and Ella attended on their behalf and assisted with the draw. While there were no winners on the night, the event added to the great atmosphere enjoyed by members.
This sponsorship marks the first partnership under a new Royal Brighton Yacht Club initiative designed to encourage broader sponsor involvement with the Club. As this program develops, members can expect to see a range of businesses supporting Club activities and events from time to time.
Members are encouraged to become involved by letting the Club know about potential sponsors or supporters in their networks, helping the program grow and strengthen our Club community. If you can assist please contact General Committee members Steve Reynolds or Andy Holmes.
