Hi – As many of you know, I chair a working group to increase philanthropic gifting, as well as developing plans to replace the current Jock Sturrock Centre with a world class sail training facility.
The working team is Andy Holmes, Grant Dow, Mark Woodland, Peter Demura, and advisor John Phillips (BGS – Senior Manager, Strategic Relationships). We have been making solid progress, and would value members views and input. There are 2 consultation evenings organised for the 8th and 18th September – both at 6 pm in the members bar.
Both evenings have same agenda…..
- RBYC master plan, particularly
- Jock Sturrock Centre redevelopment
- Explore options of integrating the redevelopment of the northern side of the Club into the master plan
- Feasibility Study process – how we will develop our plans and keep members informed
- RBYC giving – how to
- Gift to RBYC development fund (to be used only for Jock Sturrock centre redevelopment/north wing)
- Bequest to RBYC
- Corporate sponsorship
Please note RBYC is a members-run club, and it is critical to get members input to our future plans. As a result we are seeking input very early in the process, so all plans are open for discussion.
To encourage gifting from members we have updated the website showing the various options available to you. You can make a tax-free gift direct to the RBYC Future Development Fund, you could make a bequest to RBYC in your will, or if you own a company you could become a corporate partner. The updated website link is here https://rbyc.org.au/give-to-rbyc/
thanks
Andy
