Our next Guest Speaker Dinner will be held this Friday, August 15th, when John & Jo Walker and Peter & Suzie Strain will let us into the secrets of Cruising the Houtman Abrolhos Islands – Australia’s historic and marine treasure. This promises to be a fascinating look at an historic, but lesser frequented, part of Australia’s coastline. Come and hear about small group expedition cruising on a large power catamaran exploring the Houtman Abrolhos Islands, location of shipwrecks and a vibrant fishing community, and snorkelling on Indian Ocean coral reefs.
As usual, after gathering in the Members Bar for the weekly announcements and members’ draw at 7:00pm, please join us in the Bayview Room for the dinner and talk.

The Queenscliff Cruising Yacht Club (QCYC) have advised that they are commencing works on the North Wharf Redevelopment. The North Wharf will be closed as of 12th August 2025, with the expectation that work will be completed by 30th Nov 2025..

Meanwhile Rob Hurrell and his crew of Tony Garvey and Dave Stripp on “Aquacadabra” are on the move again with the Sail to Indonesia rally fleet and have arrived in Tifu on the island of Buru, after spending time with the fleet in Ambon.
