It was hot with light shifty breezes, but RO’s Ross and Kevin Wilson managed a full series of 9 races for the Etchells Victoria State titles. The Royal Geelong Yacht Club and Geelong fleet put on a terrific regatta and announced they will be hosting the 2029 World Championship, which is great for the Etchells Class in Victoria.
Two of the five RBYC boats competing in the championship reached the podium. It was close racing with John Bertrand’s Triad 2020 winning from Barry, skippered by Billy Merrington, by 1 point.
