The visitors from Metung took the top two podium finishes in the Dragons State Titles held over the weekend. Saturday’s light breezes turned more lively on Sunday. The Race Management team provided 6 great races over the two days, and all teams had their moments of glory. First place, winning the JJ Savage trophy, was Australian President of the Dragon Association Fred Haes with his crew Adrian France, Will Cooke and Sabrina Murphy. Victorian President Chas Stanton had recently sailed in the Nationals at Metung and was happy to return the hospitality. The J.J. Savage Cup was first awarded to Jock Sturrock in 1952/53 and has a long proud history at RBYC.
