It was great to see the namesakes of todays race, John Olsen & Robert Hooper arrive to watch you all compete.

Winner, Lucas Tucker in a nett time of 31:14 adjusted for handicap to 31:14 (think about it!), second Ben Stanford in a nett of 36:01 handicap adjusted to 32:01 and third Brett Davis in a nett of 43:50 adjusted to 37:50
Fran Johnson was the first female home in a nett of 37:20 Fran felt deprived of a quicker time because she felt Clive could have navigated better and swam faster. She won’t be drafting him again!
It was great to see Lucas win supported by his 3 children.
Channel Race.
Romney Jones smashed it in 22:29. Peter Maddison in a commendable 28:23 and Ralph O’Shaughnessy in 29:54 was third.

My thanks to Jane, who handles my screaming names & finishing times at her at a speed a Pitman shorthand expert couldn’t handle, Murray for driving the irb with Jack observing ,Foxy for paddling and Robert Robertson for co ordinating the factory to produce the swim wear.
Jack will be in touch regarding the upcoming end of year swim and drink…where it will be an opportunity to meet more of the new RBYC aquatic members.
