Cruising News – 18/11

The 2025 annual Progressive Dinner is being held this Friday the 21st of November, and so far, the forecast is looking promising for a pleasant evening on the marina.

Patricipants will gather in the members bar around 6:30 for pre-dinner drinks and to be allocated to your boats. After the 7:00pm draw, we will then proceed down the pier to the marina for:
• Main Course on you first allocated boat, followed by,
• Dessert and Coffee/Tea on your second allocated boat, finishing with,
• Port and Chocolates on one or more of the larger boats.

$25 per head, and BYO Drinks.

Looking further ahead, we will be holding our annual Christmas Hardstand Party on Saturday the 13th, while early 2026 will feature the annual Birthday Cruise to Royals on Sunday 18th January.

We will be kicking off our 2026 Guest Speaker Dinner program on Friday 20th February, when we are delighted to have Rob Hurrell presenting on his experiences participating in the recently concluded 2025 Sail2Indonesia Rally on Aquacadabra . A number of RBYC Cruising Group members joined Rob for various stages of the rally, so this promises to be a fascinating and entertaining evening.

Over the last week of February and 1st week of March we are planning an “Explore the Bay” Port Phillip Cruise. An “expressions of interest” meeting will be held in late January.
