Monday Working Group – Call for Volunteers

For many years, the Club has benefitted from a small and dedicated group of volunteers who, on each Thursday, undertake a range of activities maintaining the Club’s rescue boat fleet, hardstand and marina.

The success of this model has led the General Committee to support the establishment of a “Monday Working Group” with a mandate to undertake activities in maintaining and improving the appearance of the Clubhouse and surrounds.  There a range of activities planned for coming weeks with an emphasis on those that can be done safely by a group of volunteers.

The first set of activities are planned for this coming Monday, 11th November at 10.00am where we will focus on improving the appearance of the outdoor furniture.  The plan is to sand back and resurface the tables on the member’s deck while downstairs the tables will be given a clean.

I’d like to invite all interested members to meet on the downstairs deck on Monday morning where will plan the day’s activity.  For those who are able to do so, could I please ask you to bring along your sander, extension cord and sandpaper.  The aim is to do this safely and I do ask for those sanding to bring along eye protection and the appropriate mask.

I look forward to your support in enhancing the appearance of your Club.
