A great week for Sailing

Port Phillip was blessed with excellent sailing weather all week.
Wednesday Hearnes Heroes and Wednesday Twilight experienced a lively breeze - well done to Wayward for their first-place in the afternoon and Leopard for their narrow win in the evening.
Thursday OTB racing saw 17 boats out, with ILCA The Vincent reigning supreme.
Saturday started with very little wind but the RBYC Race Management team did well to be patient - the delayed start for the Peter Taylor was well worth the wait. Well done to Another Chapter (Div 1), Flying Fox (Div 2) and Sunkiss (Div C). Digger prevailed once again in the 2.4s.
All results available here.

Over the weekend all the OTB action was at Sail Sandy, with 29 RBYC entries, including 16 ILCAs. Well done to all who competed and especially to those who achieved a podium finish; Daniel Quinlan (2nd Aero 5), Jenson Bryant (1st Opti Green Fleet) and Nick Chapman (2nd J24).
in ILCA 6 Tony McPherson had a stellar regatta in a super competitive fleet of 27. A new crop of youth hotshots and aspiring olympians were super fast in the light conditions. Tony was three times the average age of the top 6 showing his wily experience!
You can see some terrific photos on the Sandringham Facebook page, and all results are available here.
