A light but lovely weekend
|
|
Following the abandonment of the Wednesday afternoon race due to a lack of wind, the weekend looked doubtful with a similar forecast. However, boats have a lovely time on the water both days – also enjoying some sun which is certainly absent this week. Well done to JAHMU who pipped Wild Child by 2 seconds on Saturday. On Sunday Presto showed their light weather prowess in winning the race.

Keelboat Sunday Racing 26 July

Come and join in with the RBYC Sunday Race. Held once a month this is a passage race starting and finishing on the tower. Ideal for those just getting into racing or a way for your race team to have a social sail together. Race as a Pursuit Handicap it is fun and safe. Prizes for 1st and 1st female helm. Boat Storage tags. REMINDER
Owners of boats stored in the yard, undercroft or Sturrock Building need to get their annual storage tag. This needs to be attached to the beach trolly or in the case of kayaks/skis to a handle. The tags can be collected from the sailing office Tues - Sat (9am - 5pm). Any boats without a tag after the 16th July 2026 may be removed. These need to be collected no later than 12th July.

This coming weekend,
July 4th-5th, the Cruising Group is holding its annual Frostbite Cruise to Docklands. This has been scheduled to coincide with Melbourne’s Firelight Festival, also held being at Docklands on this weekend.
