We loved this photo of Serendipity at Hamilton Island. We can see from some of the footage that not all boats handled the conditions comfortably.

Well done to the RBYC boats and crews who competed, including Rampallion (Geoff Adams), Joan Ellen (Tony and Jack Hennessy), Serendipity (Andy Holmes) and Keep on Running (Gordon Syme). Many RBYC members are sailing aboard Gary Davidson’s Solaire as well, and Past Commodore Paul Jackson was on Dragonfly. Here is a link to the results

September School Holiday Sailing at RBYC

Looking for a fun and active way to keep the kids busy these September school holidays? RBYC has sailing programs for both younger sailors and teenagers, with no previous sailing experience or working up the ladder.

Tackers 1 - 3 (Ages 5–11)
Learn to sail in Optimist dinghies while building confidence, making friends and having plenty of fun on the water.

OutThere Sailing 1 - 3 (Ages 11–18)
A fun, social sailing program using Quest dinghies, ideal for teenagers looking to learn new skills, improve their sailing and enjoy time on the water with friends.

RBYC’s Adult Learn to Sail programs are a great way to get out on Port Phillip Bay, learn new skills and meet new people.

On Saturday Rear Commodore Cath Hurley, Club Captain Marnie Irving and Past Commodore Paul Pascoe represented RBYC at the Australian Sailing Network Meeting at Black Rock Yacht Club. There were representatives from 14 clubs. A great opportunity to share experiences and ideas.

Victorian Official of the Year Finalists

We are thrilled to hear that Past Commodore and International Judge Paul Pascoe is a finalist for 2026 Victorian Official of the Year. None of us are surprised, given the wide range of National and International events where Paul has officiated.
