Exciting times for 2.4 mR Fleet

Peter Coleman, National President of the 2.4 mR Class Association has let us know the fleet is very much looking forward to the busy season ahead.

First of all, the 2026 Victorian Championships will be held at Paynesville, Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club from 31 October to 2 November 2026. This is a terrific place to be and race and will be a great event.

This will be followed at the end of November 2026 by Sail Melbourne at RBYC. Here is the event link.

Then the big one - The 30th Anniversary 2.4m Class Australian Championships at RBYC from the 22nd to 25th January 2027.

September School Holiday Sailing at RBYC

Looking for a fun and active way to keep the kids busy these September school holidays? RBYC has sailing programs for both younger sailors and teenagers, with no previous sailing experience or working up the ladder.

Tackers 1 - 3 (Ages 5–11)
Learn to sail in Optimist dinghies while building confidence, making friends and having plenty of fun on the water.

OutThere Sailing 1 - 3 (Ages 11–18)
A fun, social sailing program using Quest dinghies, ideal for teenagers looking to learn new skills, improve their sailing and enjoy time on the water with friends.
