In particular well done to the Optimist sailors out racing - there were capsizes in the ILCAs, 29er, Quest, 420, but none in the Opti fleet.

Victorian Australian Sailing Awards - great showing for RBYC

Commodore Peter Demura had the pleasure of attending the annual Victoria Australian Sailing awards night last Friday and presenting Sean Hogan with a lifetime achievement award. As Commodore of last year’s Club of the Year (Category A) Peter also presented this year’s award to the Blairgowrie yacht Squadron.
Congratulations also to Paul Pascoe (Official of the Year) and Neil Patterson (Para Sailor of the Year). Nieil's award was presented by Alison Weatherley, herself a former Para Sailor of the Year. Sailing Lifts your Spirits was runner up for the Inclusion award. Marg Neeson (Wild Child) was presented with the trophy for PHS Div 3 in the Range Series, and Serious Yahoo was recognised for winning the PHS division of the PPWCS. RBYC was certainly well represented, and this reflects the diversity and commitment of our members.
