General News

We are aware that a group of fishermen has recently been fishing inside the marina, and that a couple of them have been rude to boat owners when asked to move on from private property. We are sorry to those of you who have experienced this. We engaged security in the Marina for the last couple of nights to ensure these people know this is a private marina. The police have also agreed to set up a tasking patrol, to regularly visit the marina and ensure that any people who enter the marina move on without delay.
If you are asked to identify yourself by the police please do not be offended, they are proactively working with us to eliminate this security risk.

A reminder we are inviting all boat owners to register their vessel on our Boat Register. We love to know more about the boats we have at the club and especially a bit about where the name came from.
The register is on line and can be viewed at https://rbyc.org.au/boat-register/
All vessels are invited to join , OTB, One Design,Keelboat and Power. We we look forward to seeing you on the list soon

Take someone new out sailing

SKIPPERS: We are getting many enquiries for people to take up the SailPass option here at RBYC esp for twilight sailing. It would be great if you could list yourselves as being able to take them. The first step is to list your boat as looking for crew using the sign on app using the Add a listing - Looking for Crew button. Then you can search for those looking to go sailing via the List Available Crew button. Please also let the sailing office know that you are able to take SailPass people. Remember this is not only a great way to introduce the club to potential new members but a great way to find new crew for yourself.

One Design Keelboat Regatta

Etchells, VXOnes and 2.4s had two completely different days for the inaugural One Design regatta. Saturday was blustery and Sunday very light – each day challenging in its own way. A great reminder of how wonderful One Design racing can be. Well done to the Race Management team for getting a regatta in.
