The Great Bayside Swim

On Friday 26th, the Great Bayside swim will again be taking place in the waters off RBYC and Marina. This is a morning event which will affect club access from 6am. There will also be restrictions on when boats will be able to leave/arrive at the marina. Full details of this will be release in next week's newsletter . Marina access information will also be posted on the main marina gate.

Racing Starting Again 31st Jan

The Post Christmas afternoon (Hearnes Heroes) and Twilight racing begins again Wednesday 31st Jan. If you wish to be involved then please enter via the race entry link on the website. NB: doing the pre Christmas racing DOES NOT mean you will be automatically be entered in the post Christmas racing.

Saturday racing kicks off on the 3rd of Feb. See calendar for details .

Melbourne to Geelong Race 26th Jan

Boats entered in the Melbourne to Geelong race on the 26th Jan will need to have left the marina by 9am. This is due to restrictions in place on the waters around the breakwater and Marina for the Great Bayside.

Sail Measurement for Festival of Sails

In continuing efforts to support our members, if you are doing Festival of Sails in the AMS division, and would like your sails remeasured pre-event, please contact Peter Coleman 0418 332 375 ASAP. This will be done on the hardstand.  Peter will revise your rating if they have shrunk.

Training News

Term 1 Sail Training

These programs are for those sailors still progressing through their sail training. These programs will get sailors to the required skill level to then be able to join the racing squads. There is a cost associated for each course but you do not need to be a member of RBYC

Term 1 Race Training

These programs are for those sailors who have completed Tackers 3 or OutThere 3 (or have equivalent experience). The focus is on gaining skills for club racing and getting ready for regattas and events. Anyone wanting to join the racing squads must be a Youth member of RBYC.
