2023-2024 Season Calendar

The new season calendar has now been published on the website. When you open the calendar page you will see a calendar that is set to all events. If you want to only see events of a particular fleet then use the drop down feature. There is a calendar for Keelboats, Etchells, VXOnes, Dragons, 2.4mR, OTB and Cruising. Generic events such as Public Hols, Opening Day, AGM etc are on the All Calendars option. There is also a downloadable calendar for each fleet for the season.

Staff Required

After competing in the 2.4 mtr Worlds in Finland, Peter Coleman has travelled to the Netherland to race in the Allianz Sailing World Championships. The competition continues through the week – we wish you all the best Pete!

RBYC Club Member George Henderson plays at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

We have some talented sailors at RBYC with other amazing talents also. George Henderson is currently in Scotland performing in The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Preparation has included several practice sessions, one of which went for 14 Hours! The first show was on Friday 4 August.
Prior to this, George was playing with the Scots School Albury pipe band, which he plays with as an alumnus. On 29 July, the band won the Scottish Championships in their grade. They are also competing in the World Championships on 19th August in amongst a very busy schedule for the Tattoo with 26 performances throughout the month of August. He will also be playing at the RBYC Opening Day on 7th October.

Hi everyone,

Greetings from Heathrow Airport, London. I will be flying to Toronto in a few hours after having a fantastic 2.5 week holiday here in England. Sadly however, my hopes to swim the English Channel did not eventuate. After waiting for a full week for the winds to ease, they didn't drop so we never got the chance to set off from Dover. I made up for this disappointment by walking many of the fabulous coastal trails in Kent and a number of other scenic trails in the Midlands.
