VX One Vic State Titles Review

Day one had to be abandoned due to a Gale Warning. Day 2 kicked of a bit earlier to help get a few extra races in with a much more pleasant wind strength of 8-10 knots. The earlier start must have tricked 2 of the boats as they missed the first race but in what ended up a prefect day 6 races were completed making it a great day of racing.
The winners were Silas Nolan, Shane Hughes and Catherine Nolan from Adelaide Sailing Club. Second place were RBYC sailors Linus Talacko, Finn McMann and Cameron Berry (pictured).

Carlton probably had the better of the play for 3 of the 4 quarters and …

ORCV Rip Tour of Port Phillip Heads – New Date
“The Rip” is the narrow entrance to Port Phillip, where underwater reefs limit the navigable entrance to just 0.6nm and provides a restricted tidal flow between the ocean and Port Phillip, where over 4,000 commercial vessels transit annually.

Once a year, the ORCV runs an on-water tour from a large ferry looking at the navigation aids, tides, how to and which channels to use, radio protocols etc for a safe transit of the heads.
The tour runs inside the bay but travels around the head's region and offers not only an educational experience but a great day on the water. Learn more and book here https://www.orcv.org.au/training/rip-tour-of-port-phillip-heads
