RBYC Youth Sailors heading to Youths

On the 4th and 5th of April there is Youth Sail at Sorrento which RBYC Youth members Ed Jukes, Charlie Chidlow and Theo Altson will be attending. We wish them all the best in this event .

Elite Sailors update from Anna Cripsey


For those of you who came to our fundraiser night here’s a little update about what our laser sailors have been up to in Europe!
Casey came second at the Europa Cup in Port de Pollenca Spain!
And Jack and Lachie competed at the Under 21 Europeans in Spain, with Jack getting an impressive 10th and Lachie coming 58th in a 150 boat fleet!
Racing for the Princess Sofia regatta in Palma began on the 1st of April, where Casey, Jack, Lachie, James, Sophie, Philip and Charlotte are competing. You can follow along here: https://www.trofeoprincesasofia.org/en/default/races/race

RBYC at Middle Harbour Yacht Club Inclusive Classes Regatta


RBYC sailors had a great time at Middle Harbour Yacht Club over the weekend with three of the sailors reaching the podium. Congratulations to Ali Weatherly on her second in the Hansa Liberty. In the 2.4’s Pete Coleman was second place and Ray Smith was third. There are some great photos by Marg Fraser-Martin on the MHYC Facebook page.

March 24th - The annual trip tour of Port Phillip Heads is on Sunday, 24th March, departing Queenscliff at 10.00 am. The tour provides for well-planned and executed transits of the Heads, with an emphasis on doing so in low-powered vessels (like yachts) and provides information to participants on the numerous navigational aids and strict procedures required for safe passage through.
