The annual Christmas Hardstand Party will be held on Saturday the 13th of December from 6pm onwards. Come along and enjoy our annual end of year get together to celebrate the year with friends and fellow sailing colleagues. BYO food and drinks and cook up a feast on the BBQ. Here’s hoping the weather gods are smiling, and we can enjoy the hardstand, but in case of inclement weather, we will make alternative arrangements (as we have the past 2 years, when we have relocated and celebrated in the Jock Sturrock Centre.) Kicking off the 2026 program will be the annual Birthday Cruise to “Royals” on Sunday 18th January, when will sail over to Williamstown for lunch and birthday cake ashore at the RYCV, before returning to Brighton. This continues an annual tradition that has taken place since the Cruising Group was established in 1991
Our first Guest Speaker Dinner for 2026 will be on Friday 20th February, when we are delighted to have Rob Hurrell presenting on his experiences participating in the recently concluded 2025 Sail2Indonesia Rally on Aquacadabra . Several RBYC Cruising Group members joined Rob for various stages of the rally, so this promises to be a fascinating and entertaining evening.
Over the last week of February and 1st week of March we are planning an “Explore the Bay” Port Phillip Cruise. An “expressions of interest” meeting will be held in late January.
