How do I find Crew or get on a boat?
The best way is to use the Crew Matching system that is in the Sign On App. Here you can list your boat as looking for crew, or add yourself to the list of available crew. To find out more about casual sailing see the SaiPass article above. If you don't already have the app or are not sure how it works then you can find it HERE or scan the QR Code.
You can also contact the sailing office and let them know that you are able to take crew. We will do our best to find a sailor for you.

“You maybe be wondering the origins of the Green Dragon cocktail at the Club this week. OTB News
OTB sailors had a great day of racing on Sunday with a combined fleet of over 20 boats including 7 Optimist green fleet sailors, 12 Lasers, 3 Quests and a small fleet of RS100s. Well done to the Opti sailors many of whom enjoyed their first racing experience.
Despite shifty conditions the race management team and support boats did an amazing job running 4 races and looking after the young sailors.
The Laser fleet enjoyed tight racing with Owen McMahon, Michael OBrien and Lucas James trading places at the front of the fleet. Competition was fierce with numerous general recalls as everyone fought it for poll position. A special welcome to new laser sailor Chris Drake who produced some impressive sailing considering it was his first ever racing!
OTB Thursday night sprint racing starts this week at 6pm.
Next Sunday the OTB fleet will sail in the Sail Sandy regatta so RBYC Sunday sailing will take a break and recommence on 29th October.
New OTB sailors are always welcome to join in the fun!

Annual Progressive Dinner 20th October
We are now fully booked for the Progressive Dinner this Friday (Oct 20th), and it looks like the rain will stay away, promising a great evening. However, we are slightly short on host boats, and, while the dinner is do-able, we will be squeezing in. Thanks to all of you who have already volunteered to host, but a last minute request to anyone else out there who might also be able to host on their boat, if you could do so, it would be very much appreciated. If you are able to do so, please get in touch with Pam Merritt as soon as possible on phone 0408 361 208, or email [email protected] .

The club maintains a fleet of rescue boats but eventually every boat reaches its "use by date" where it is time for retirement, usually because the cost of maintenance is outweighing the cost of replacement, or because the boat has become unreliable. This month the club retired the 4.2m rhib "JayKay" and it is now enjoying its retirement as a …
