Sailing Lifts Yours Spirts doing well

Dear Leanne & Gordon (and Ray & Barim)

On behalf of the outpatient team members at Monash Health who were lucky enough to join you on Thursday evening, I wanted to extend a huge, heartfelt thank you for the opportunity you gave us through your Sailing Lifts Your Spirits initiative.

It was such a wonderful experience, filled with joy (which is one of our key priorities) and we truly appreciate the time, care, and enthusiasm you have for the program. Please also thank each of the volunteer boat owners and volunteer crew and RBYC, who so generously help to make these evenings possible. Being welcomed onto your boats, hearing your stories, laughing so much, and experiencing the freedom and beauty of being out on the water, was an incredible way to take time for self-care after work – and mother nature came along for the ride with “Champagne Sailing” conditions to top it all off.

It was more than just a sail (for many their first time) — it was a reminder of how meaningful community, connection, and kindness can be.
