JAHMU has itchy feet – travel well!
It’s been quite a year for Paul Jackson’s JAHMU. The mast was back in after returning from the Queensland Regattas, just in time for the Cock of the Bay (which JAHMU won), Petersville regatta, Festival of Sails and last Wednesday’s twilight race. Then yesterday it was back on a truck heading for Adelaide to compete in the Port Lincoln Yacht Race and Lincoln Week Regatta. The race from Adelaide to Port Lincoln starts 13 February followed by the Regatta from 16-19 February. You can follow the regatta here and we wish JAHMU all the best!

Centenary Regatta was exactly 50 years ago – were you there?
RBYC’s Centenary Regatta was exactly 50 years ago on Friday 6 February and Saturday 7 February (as can be seen in this excerpt from our 150th Anniversary book). If you were there, it would be great if you could share some of your memories - just send an email to [email protected] and we’ll include them in the next newsletter. If you don’t yet have your own copy of the 150th year book, there are still copies available from reception ($60 each).

At the time of writing, RBYC cruisers Brenton and Robina Smith on Chakana, and Craig Walton, Aldy Felix and Steve Dickson on Y-knot had arrived at American River, Kangaroo Island. They enjoyed a largely smooth three-day sail from Queenscliff, encountering occasional rain and fog along the way and with increasing wind and seas over the final 12 hours. In the …
