VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 27 - 30 November

Hello members. We are getting very close to Sail Melbourne 2025 and we are still looking for volunteers to help with the RBYC course and on the beach. We have many positions avavaible from RHIB drivers to crew on mark boats, Start and Finish boats as well as support boats. If you think you can help please contact the sailing office.

Start times for Keelboat twilight races are published at 4.30 pm. Boats not already entered but want to race MUST sign on or enter before 4.30pm so we can properly calculate start times for the fleet. Sign on after 4.30pm and you will be allocated a arbitrary time for that race. Please get in early.

The Social Subcommittee and the RBYC staff organised a terrific Halloween which happened to coincide with the Friday night members draw this year.

All club members, whether sailing members or not, will enjoy the photos and stories in this fabulous book, put together by fellow club members Don Warner and John Scanlon.

Author Don Warner and Commodore Peter Demura will be available for the official launch and book signing on 21 November from 6:00 pm up to the members draw at 7:00 pm.
|

Don Warner has been travelling in Europe but will be back for the book launch. Don's travels included a lovely '6 Bridges' cruise in a small boat on the Douro River, Porto (located about 300kms north of Lisbon). Porto was the venue for the 29er Worlds, held in August this year.
|

Oaks Day lunch guests were just as pleased as the ILCA sailors to see the glorious weather last Thursday. The event raised funds for Sailing lifts Your Spirits, a wonderful charity providing sailing experiences to health care workers and front-line responders. Thanks to sponsors and staff for a terrific event.
