Skippers Briefing 2025 -2026 Season
Each season we hold a Skippers Briefing to present what's happening on the water at RBYC for the upcoming season. This evening is a must attend for any boat planning on entering any of the racing over the season. We will run over the Race documents, Calendars and our race results/Sign on system. This is a great way for new sailors to find out what's happening and what you need to do to be involved

Last Sunday saw the once a month OTB races taking place at RBYC with 18 ILCAs and 4 RS100s out racing. Initially the wind was a very patchy westerly, but eventually a five knot southerly sea breeze filled in and continued to build ever so slightly during the three afternoon races.
Competition was keen on the start line with the ILCAs requiring multiple general recalls and eventually the black flag came out to get them away. The RS100s were much more civilised with no recalls required.
The OTB winter races are run the first Sunday of every month and all OTB classes are welcome. If you are a class that wishes to race, please let the Race Office know to arrange your own start.

As the season has unfolded, we are seeing quite the opposite. There are so many blowout games, and the disparity between the first nine teams and the following nine teams …
