National Volunteer Week - Celebrating our wonderful volunteers

National Volunteer Week runs from 19 -25 May, a good time to reflect on how much our club relies on the services of volunteers with a variety of skills and experience. Some volunteers are here almost every day, some are here each week, and some are called on for specific expertise at critical times. All club members are grateful for …

Marina Works

Members are advised that over the next two weeks important works being conducted by Parks Victoria mean that the marina power supply will be disconnected. During this period power to the marina will be supplied by a generator. This is located at the main walkway to the marina and we request that members keep clear of this area during the period of works. While the intention is to run the generator at all times, it maybe necessary to limit its operation overnight. This would effect the power pedestals on the marina. We appreciate your understanding during these necessary works.

How we have changed over the years

A high-quality version of the photo will be included in the RBYC 150th anniversary book being produced by Don Warner and Jon Scanlon. The book will be launched on Opening Day, early October 2025.

Container Deposit Scheme

The Container Deposit bins are working well. Just a reminder not to use them for rubbish or other recycling.
The bins are only for cans and bottles displaying the 10c logo, showing they are refundable. Unfortunately, wine bottles are not refundable at this stage.
Feel free to bring refundable containers from home – all proceeds go to our friends, the Sea Scouts.
It's been a very sad couple of days for our AFL community after the tragic passing of former WCE premiership player Adam Selwood at age 41.
