Report from GC Member Greg Clinnick – a great weekend for sailing
Last Sunday the Association Cup was held off Sandringham. This keelboat event has been held in various formats for over one hundred years and culminates in the crowning of the "best" keelboat club on the bay.
This year, teams representing five Port Philip bay clubs took place with Another Chapter, Moana, Flying Fox and True Colours representing RBYC. After four windward/leeward races in 14 to 23 knot north to north westerly winds, SYC emerged the clear winner leaving all other teams in their wake. Congratulations SYC. They will have the bragging rights for another year! Another Chapter was the best boat in our team with a 3rd, 2nd, 1st and 3rd in their four races to finish second overall in the AMS division.

Sunday was also the first of the BLISS women's sailing training days. Several very eager ladies went out on Pacemaker and enjoyed both the ideal sailing weather and the opportunity to add to their sailing skills. The BLISS regatta will be held on Sunday May the 4th. For more information please click on this link
The beach and the club were both busy on Sunday with many people enjoying both the water and hospitality at the club. Enjoy our prolonged summer weather.

The matches were played at Adelaide Oval, Norwood Oval, and, for the first time, Barossa Park (formerly Lyndoch Park) in SA's famous wine region. It was a most successful football weekend, despite there being no close finishes and lots of lopsided games. Two …
