Well done to Another Chapter for their 5th place in AMS the King Island race. Here is a link to a race report as well as full results.

Training Opportunities for female sailors

On the 4th May 2025 RBYC will be holding its annual BLiSS Regatta which is part of the PPWSC series as well as a standalone regatta.
RBYC is also offering pre regatta training called the BLiSS Experience.
This provides the opportunity for female sailors to receive pre race coaching both on and off the water.
Participants will receive an on water session , lunch and off water session in the class room and BliSS regatta polo
Due to the generous support of Yacht Racing Services Association (YRSA) we are able to offer this experience at the subsided rate of $50pp.
Places are limited and bookings can only be made for one day here

RBYC Juniors Sailors doing well
Congratulations to all our young sailors that competed in regattas over the long weekend. A group of 12 went to the Opti VIC States held at Sorrento. Special mention to Clovis Goussard 3rd in Green Fleet. Grace Newitt 4th in Green fleet (and first Girl), Charlie Elvin 2nd in Intermediate Full Results
It is also great that the team of Jenson Oldham and Eddie Barron were able to get to the 29er Victorian States.

Unprecedented wins race to King Island

While the eastern seaboard has faced the hostility of Cyclone Alfred over the last week, the Melbourne to King Island fleet had a superb sail in near perfect conditions in the 54th anniversary of the race.

Unprecedented, the double-handed Sunfast Jeanneau 3300 co-skippered by Andrew McGrath and Ben Thompson from the Safety Beach Sailing Club will be celebrating the 54th race to King Island for years to come.
