As many people found out last Saturday, racing mark R3 is not in its charted normal position, and as of last Saturday was approximately 0.5Nm north of its normal position. As it is still in the vicinity you do need to round the mark to sail the course.

Special Mark Racing Buoy R3 Out of Position
Details: Mariners are advised that the R3 lit yellow special mark buoy, with characteristics fl.Y.4s, with charted position off Elwood at approximate location 37°53.168’S, 144°56.386’E (WGS84), is out of position.
The buoy is currently located to the north east of its charted position, at approximate location 37°52.946’S, 144°56.550’E (WGS84).
The buoy and light will be reinstated as soon as practicable.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution within the vicinity of the buoy.
