The 29er is a fast, exciting boat, the entry point to skiff sailing for all the younger generations.
Despite it’s popularity all around the world, it is not, at least at first glance, the easiest class to get into. You need good, talented sailors and coaches to help you make the transition from other classes and to progress in your sailing skills.
Luckily, that’s just what the Victorian 9er association’s got! And even better, they have just organised some online free events to tell anyone who’s interested about the 29er and how to get started.
RBYC has been a long-time friend of the class, with many Victorian sailors being based at Brighton. We are therefore happy and excited to share these opportunities with all our young members looking to transition.
The first online event is all about “How to get into a 29er” and will be held on Nov 4th at 6.30pm, followed by a General boat handling online session on Nov 11th at 1.00pm. You can find more info at the links below!
